Whether you believe in evolution or not, or perhaps that we came from Adam and Eve, one cannot argue that we humans have learned to adapt our many resources for our many needs.
Debra lives in Lander, WY, although she considers herself a bit of a nomad. She served twenty-five years in the Air Force/Air Force Reserves retiring in 2007. Upon retirement she began pursuing her love of art full time. In 2011 Debra graduated with a BA in Visual and Performing Art-Visual Art from the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs.
During her travels, Debra fell in love with the art of decoys. She always wanted to try woodcarving and took her first carving class in 1998. Since then, Debra has been sculpting in wood, stone and bronze. Her favorite point of the process is when the subject of the sculpture emerges from the material she’s working with and takes on its unique personality.
