Constructed of copper and brass, it is perfectly balanced on a stainless steel axle with shielded bearings. Each piece is cut from .025" sheet copper and shaped by hand, attached to brass rods by lead-free silver solder then cleaned and polished before the finish is applied. These works of art are 100% American made.
Riemer is a native Chicagoan. He attended The School of the Art Institute in Chicago and several other area colleges. He studied art, photography, digital imaging, computer science, and web design. His early work was mainly in pastels and photography. Since 2002 Kinetic sculpture in copper and brass has been the focus of his creativity. Riemer lives with his wife north of Green Bay, WI.
