"The idea to make Spinosaurus came from a National Geographic story. New fossil discoveries led scientists to redefine what Spinosaurus looked like and how he lived. Barn cleaner chain links salvaged from my cousin’s dairy farm made some fine vertebrae. Spinosaurus is just a baby; at 25’ long, he’s half the size of an adult."
Dale Lewis is an Electrical Technician and Machinist who worked for a specialized machine builder. He quit his real job and was rehabbing houses for a couple of years before the real-estate collapse. By 2006 he found himself with plenty of time to experiment with making mosaic sculptures. In early 2010, realizing his hobby had become an obsession he bought equipment and started making stainless steel sculptures. My goals are simple, to get bigger and better and make people smile.
