All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players. They have their exits and their entrances; and one man in his time plays many parts - William Shakespeare.
Dee Clements is an artist with diverse sculptural interests: exploring concepts for pieces from different cultures, images and philosophies.
Clements grew up drawing the human figure and received his BFA at the University of South Dakota. After a tour of duty in Korea, as a helicopter pilot, he attended the University of Northern Colorado attaining a Masters degree in sculpture. He has lived in Loveland, Colorado since 1979 and has created over 120 sculptures. An exciting area of Clements’ art has been commissions both large and small. Using his study of abstract design combined with his extensive background in representational sculpture has enabled Clements to create pieces that stand the “test of time”. A defining work, “Desert Holocaust Memorial”, in Palm Springs, California, is an example of Clements’ use of powerful figurative sculpture in conjunction with strong architectural design.
