A former lecturer at the University of Mumbai, India, Shohini Ghosh is a Denver-based artist whose works are a stylistic representation of genre subjects. "I create sculptures in bronze, that can be best described as Figurative, stylistic representation of simple moments in life, a zeitgeist of my surroundings." She uses the human body to express and create physical images as a metaphor for the language of the soul, the illustration of our uniqueness as a human race, our quest to build families, communities and societies that define our existence. Ghost 's work has been widely published and written about with a long list of exhibition history that includes many important venues, some of them are the following: Liitteton Historical Museum (Littleton, Colorado) , Hand Artes Gallery (Truchas, New Mexico). Additionally she has many of her large scale sculptures in public places and numerous works all over the Indian subcontinent.
