Kilbane, lives near the shores of Lake Superior in Northern Minnesota. Kilbane has a special connection to Eau Claire after having a child who graduated from UW Eau Claire. “I tend to use steel for most of my work,” he explains. “I have a sculpture garden. Often, I have people stopping by just to see what I have out there. Most people say ‘I don’t know what it is but I love it,’” he says, laughing. “I love that!”
